There were more than 900 African Americans buried at the Greenmount Cemetery, which was located on the grounds of the current Frederick Memorial Hospital in downtown Frederick. Almost 100 years ago, the remains were relocated to the Fairview Cemetery. AARCH and FMH worked together to create a memorial garden on the site.
