National History Day

Do you know a student who is interested in history?  Check out National History Day (www.NHD.org and md-fcdc.nhd.org), a year-long opportunity with focused research on history, interpretation, and creative expression for 6th – 12th-grade students. By participating in NHD, students become writers, filmmakers, web designers, playwrights, or artists to create their understanding and expression of history.  Contests are at the county and state levels, with the annual national competition in June.
